Question
:
Luxuries.
Goods and services that have a high elasticity of demand. When the price
of, say, a Caribbean holiday rises, the number of vacations demanded falls
sharply. Likewise, demand for Caribbean holidays rises significantly as average
income increases, certainly by more than demand for many normal goods. Contrast
this with necessities, such as milk or bread, which people usually demand in
quite similar quantities whatever their income and whatever the price.
Among the
following things, which one is in quite similar quantities regardless of
people’s income and its price?
A. Car
B. Rice
C. House
D. Motorcycle.
The
Answer :
In my opinion,
if it's a high demand, the answer is : b.
namely : rice, because : rice is a food to eat for most people, and is a basic requirement.
Accordingly, since it is : people normally would buy rice regardless of their
income and regardless of the price of rice. Therefore it is : the amount of
demand for rice could be considered stable.
The second highest demand, based on the above
options, the second one in my opinion, are: home, because : the house is a
shelter for the community, and is a primary need. Thus, since it is : people
will be trying to get home regardless of income communities concerned and
regardless of the price of the house. Therefore : the number of housing demand
can be considered stable.
The third highest demand, based options above, the third in my opinion, are: motorcycles, because : a motorcycle is a vehicle used to travel frequently by people who have been able to meet the needs of primary and secondary.
Requests the fourth highest, by options above, the fourth in my opinion, are : cars : for the most expensive car prices ranging from lowest categories (low) to the category of the highest (good), based on some options above, namely : rice , houses, motorcycles. So people who have been able to buy a car are : high-earners.
So the answer in my
opinion,
are : rice.
i also answer B.Rice, but there is opinion if answer is C.House, with reason if "this is refers to quantities price that regardless not only regardless"
